The Saturday Morning Post is a personal blog carnival where I highlight the best and most interesting family oriented posts that have crossed my desk this week.

Savvy Dads is taking advantage of the 3 day weekend with these 7-ways to extend the weekend. My personal favorite: #5 Get Educated. Sounds boring? But with the right amount of energy and preparation, you can turn a learning experience into something enjoyable. Map out a few museums, a zoo, a science center and some historic sites around the area, and do a quick search on these places.
Of course, I am a geek and spend hours in these types of places.
Second place: #7.
Her Bad Mother and Danulai are my heros right now, having given birth to their children. Jenn and I are within a hairs breadth of our due date and Idolizing anyone who has gotten their kid out! congrats to them.
Carlos from Ragamuffin Soul is back home with his parents in California for a bit. He's been working a stealth conference and has too many great posts to list. While he has been gone, his house has been transformed into the halls of Academia.
Genuine over at Blogfathers takes a moment from peeling his kids off the ceiling to give a Stay at home dad/business owner reality check. Sometimes kids both want to play with the green car. Sometimes they both want to play with the green car at 150 dB. You can bet there is an important meeting/phone call going on at that exact moment.
Daddy Types has tracked down the original muppet Mahna-Mahna. The actual original Mahna-Mahna... well, you can track that down at your own peril.
BooMama has been on an Idol kick, and not in that she found it three weeks ago and has been looking all over the internet to get up to speed. She is apparently a long time user of American Idol. Now that the finale has come and gone, I wonder if I should film myself singing Desperado and send it too her so that we can wean her off until next season. Addiction is a disease, people.
