I'm a klutz. I admit it. In fact, I blame my poor coordination for my good reflexes. If I weren't so prone to dropping things, I wouldn't be so quick to catch them. Another way to put it is "I'm slightly faster than I am stupid."
Jenn and I were in the car on our way back to the apartment to pick up a new bottle nipple after dropping the original in Victoria's Secret. As we hit the exit she looked at me and apologized for dropping the nipple. My reaction was immediate and gut level/ "Who are you apologizing to? You dropped the bottle. I dropped our baby." Neither of us could stop laughing.
Fortunately the dropping the baby thing isn't nearly as bad as it sounds because babies bounce. Jack was in his car seat and we were still trying to figure ot how to get the thing in and out of the car. (Did I mention this car seat took an hour to install?) I had the car seat on the seat next to the base and somehow it took a freakish tip an started to slide off the seat. I caught it by the handle. I'm slightly faster than I am stupid.
So, now you know I've (kinda) dropped my baby already...
