I spent a good part of today at home, cleaning up a bit and then just standing in my son's nursery. I did this over and over again. I'm not kidding. A few weeks ago, it was th spare space where stuff was just put because we had no place to put it. Now it is nursery, a sacred space. This is the first place that our family has had to cal home. Our first apartment together, our first child. To hear my mother tell it, we are still waiting on a full soccer team worth of kids.
Just for the record, here I am today. Healthy looking. Rested.
Don't get too used to that.
We've got a futon set up in the nursery right now. Today it's primary function is a place to sit. In a few weeks it will be where I sleep between most feedings. I am planning a game of "Daddy Bed Pong"
We have a cradle, bassinet and little red wagon all ready to go.

As you can see we went with a decidedly wild animals theme. Lots of Jungle animals... and if you look closely in the crib you will see that they are complimented by a St. Bernard that we lovingly call "Bernie".
And like I've said before, as soon as I find one of those Tape Deck adapters, this kid is going to have an iPod attached to his Teddy Ruxpin.
The world has changed more than this room has. It's going to change alot more. I hope... I hope alot of things right now.
